Average interval, not a one-tap guess

Each gap between taps is measured in milliseconds. The calculator keeps up to the eight most recent intervals and starts over after a long pause.

For a steadier reading

Tap at least four times and follow a clear beat. Syncopation, tempo drift, and tapping half-time or double-time can all produce a different but mathematically valid reading.
