Pixels to print size

Choose a pixel density to see the physical dimensions represented by an image’s pixel width and height.

Physical dimensionsEnter values to calculate

Pixels do not have a fixed paper size

The same 3000 × 2400 pixel image is 10 × 8 inches at 300 PPI and 20 × 16 inches at 150 PPI. Changing this calculation does not add or remove image pixels.

What metadata changes

Editing resolution metadata without resampling changes the intended physical size, not the pixel array. Applications may still scale the image during layout or export.
