Print and pixel calculators
Move between pixels and paper without losing the unit, density or rounding assumption behind the result.
Calculators in this section
Find pixel density from pixels and print dimensions.
Pixels to print sizeTurn pixel dimensions into inches and centimeters.
Print size to pixelsTurn physical dimensions and PPI into pixels.
Bleed sizeAdd bleed to trim dimensions and calculate pixels.
Aspect ratioReduce a ratio and scale one matching dimension.
Geometry before judgment
The tools report dimensions and density rather than claiming an image is universally print-ready. Viewing distance and production method still matter.
Printer specifications remain authoritative
Bleed, safe area, crop marks, screening and delivery settings vary by product and provider. Use the result to prepare a file, then confirm the actual specification.
Frequently asked questions
Are PPI and DPI the same?
No. These tools use PPI for image pixels per inch. A printer’s DPI describes device output and is not interchangeable with image resolution.
Does changing PPI add pixels?
Not by itself. Without resampling, changing resolution metadata changes the intended physical size, not the pixel array.
